Donating Items:

Thank you for the clothing drive response, and we are no longer accepting clothing donations.

Dear Friends!

This past week, the winter drive donations have been sorted, and many families and individuals have already come by to take clothing, blankets, and other items!  They are so grateful and quite shocked by the kindness of the community!  We continue to give out donations, and will so, for as longas needed!  The response has been completely overwhelming, and the items donated, have met many needs!  Thanks to the entire community, and those who continue to donate items for the newcomers!!!

Many families have arrived safely to the Okanagan area!!!  Many volunteers are currently helping settle them into homes, schools, work, and communities.  The newcomers are beyond grateful for all the help they are receiving from various donors, people, and organizations!!!  We witness many smiles and many tears of gratitude!

New registrations are consistently coming in from outside and inside of Canada.   54 people (8 families) from Ukraine, are set to arrive as soon as they receive all documents for travel, and many others are in the process of deciding.

Since March 2022, together, we have helped over 55 families find help here, in the Okanagan.  We are so grateful to all of you, in our community, because such an endeavor would not be possible without you!  May God repay each and every one of you for your kindness!

The following is a list of items we are collecting for newcomers: 12-11-2022

Winter boots in all sizes

Gift cards to places like Walmart, Superstore, and grocery and fuel cards

Thank you in advance!  Thank you for the items already donated!!!

We will be posting a list of items that we will be collecting, specific to the needs of the families that we are currently serving. If you are donating lightly used items, we kindly ask that they are washed/cleaned and ready for use before donating. These items will go directly into the homes of these families.

We are looking for businesses or individuals, who can help specifically with housing, vehicles, employment, or welcome gift baskets.
If you can help with any of these items please contact: Natalya Gileff

If you can help with things like:
Meeting people at the airport, driving, translating, helping to fill out documentation at local BC access center, delivering food, socializing and planning events, applying to schools, collecting donations, shopping, helping at donation center, please contact our volunteer coordinator:
